What is a TC type oil seal?

A TC type oil seal is a sealing component with specific type, it’s usually used in various mechanical systems to avoid the leakage of oil or grease. Bellow are some key aspects of a TC oil seal:

Design and construction:

A TC oil seal typically consists of a circular ring made by metal coated with durable materials such as rubber or synthetic polymers. Mainly NBR (Nitrile rubber) and FKM (fluororubber).

But what does the actual sealing is the lips, one is dust lip, the other one is main leap for sealing. Usually there is a garter spring around the main lip, and keep the sealing lip very tight against the shaft surface.

Sealing mechanism:

The oil seal create a close contact between the stationary and moving components, forming a barrier so that to prevent leakage of oil or grease. At the same time, the dust lip can also effectively prevent dust, impurities and other external substances from entering the mechanical system, and protect mechanical parts from pollution.

Technical features:

TC oil seals can withstand vibration and mechanical stresses.

Resistant to high temperatures, pressures, and harsh operating conditions, especially the oil seals made by FKM. Provides excellent sealing performance to minimize leakage.

Applications:

TC oil seals can be used in different fields, like gearboxes, engines and hydraulic systems to protect lubricants and ensure smooth operation.

Applicable in compressors, pumps and other rotary equipment to prevent fluid leakage. Essential in industrial machinery to maintain the integrity of the systems.

Benefits:

1, Helps to extend the lifespan of machinery by preventing lubricant loss.

2, Ensures optimal performance and efficiency of the equipment.

3, Reduces the risk of damage and failure due to fluid leakage.

In a word, the TC type oil seal is chosen as its reliability, durability, and ability to provide effective sealing in a wide range of applications. Its design and properties are tailored to meet the specific requirements of different mechanical systems.
